Maureen Ahmed
You’re never going to believe what happened after the family first vacationed in Sanibel! Love at first sight! We fell in love with the area and never looked back!
Maureen’s husband (IT software engineer) and son moved here in the summer of 2003. Having retired from the crazy IT world in California, she missed the people she was overseeing as a manager in IT. 14,000 people to be exact.
Not one for sitting idle, she began to tutor in her son’s 1st grade class at Villas Elementary, and what an experience that was! Such great teachers, so much warmth and knowledge from this amazing group of people. She still has the highest regard and praises those teachers in elementary school, the staff at Cypress Lake Middle School and the incredible group at Ft. Myers High School. Her son is now finishing up his schooling at Stanford in California, having finished at UC Berkeley and Harvard. He didn’t get there all by himself J…thank you teachers and the professionals it takes to raise a child.
But then, there was the “aha” moment. It actually was her husband who suggested filling in her time during the school sessions with real estate which was again another way to stay in touch with people — just now it was helping them find their new home. Mission solved!
So whether you are a first time home buyer here in Charlotte, Collier or Lee Counties, or looking for a 2nd (or 3rd) home, a place to build your dream home, investment property or just wanting to trade up or down, Maureen’s the one you want to be working with. They don’t call her the “House Whisperer” for no reason! She is a great listener, thoughtful and considerate, patient and will find just the right place for you…a real property matchmaker. She still gets goosebumps after all these years matching buyers and sellers to their new homes.
Maureen is a member of the Royal Palm Coast Realtor Association and the Sanibel Captiva Island Association of Realtors and is studying for her FL broker examination at this time. When asked by anyone “when will you retire” she says, “been there and done that and it didn’t work out”!
