Chief Executive magazine just released its annual findings for the best and worst states in the U.S. to do business, and in the 2016 Best and Worst States for Business report, Florida ranks second.
The report is based on the sentiments of CEOs across the country on a wide array of important issues. “The rankings are crucial, as CEO sentiment drives investments in offices, factories and other facilities that bring jobs to the region,” according to PRNewswire.
It’s the second year in a row the sunshine state hit the number two spot, second to Texas. The reason Florida holds strong is due to the state’s continual efforts to create an environment where individuals and businesses can thrive. One CEO noted that decision makers in Florida have “aggressively moved ahead on key issues like rebuilding ports without waiting on federal support.” And over the past 5 years: 1 million jobs were added in the private-sector, taxes were cut 50 times, and 4,200 regulations were eliminated.
