Many of us know that Fourth of July is one holiday you don’t want to miss on Sanibel. Only two days away, the island is preparing for the festivities which include starting the day with a morning parade on Periwinkle Way, and ending the evening with stunning fireworks over the San Carlos Bay.
For many years, John R Wood and our Sanibel Realtors have sponsored and participated in both of these events. We’ve traveled down Periwinkle Way in the parade under tree canopied streets by foot, the Ford “Woody, or decked-out patriotic bikes.
With our families and friends, we have all enjoyed the out-of-this-world fireworks, viewing the show by boat or beach. This year’s fireworks are sponsored by our very own John R Wood Sanibel realtors, Mary Bondurant and Fred Bondurant, a husband and wife realty team of the Bondurant Group.
If you’re a Sanibel resident or visitor and you haven’t been around for the 4th of July festivities yet, you’ve got to mark it in your calendar and experience it. There’s no better place to celebrate the joy of our freedom than in a tropical paradise like Sanibel Island!
