Jay Richter, Managing Broker

Jay “Grew up in Real Estate” watching his Dad lead a multi-office successful Real Estate Brokerage in the Ft Lauderdale area. The impact was obvious as Jay remembers,  “Dad was always explaining the business to me and I’ll always remember his slogan, Service the Objective, Integrity the Creed.” Desiring this vocation for his life, Jay graduated with a degree in Real Estate from Florida State University in 1981.  After graduation, Jay had a successful career in Real Estate sales for several years until committing full time to growing the careers of other Real Estate agents as a non-competitive Broker and coaching them since 1994 in Southwest Florida. For over 20 years Jay has held a Real Estate Brokers license and is also licensed as a Florida Real Estate Instructor. Jay’s instruction has allowed agents to excel in Sanibel Fl Real Estate.  In just the last 7 years, agents starting out with no experience selling Real Estate have earned over 1.5 million dollars in commissions for themselves from Jay’s coaching! Jay resides in Fort Myers with his wife Lori and they have four children and a granddaughter. “When I’m not helping agents, I’m enjoying family time, boating, competitive water skiing, Triathlon training and learning more about the Lord.”

Joe Mondelli, Community Outreach

A graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in marketing, Joe Mondelli has enjoyed success in both Real Estate sales and development and the restaurant/hospitality industry. Devoting his full-time interest in Real Estate at John R. Wood Properties, Island Real Estate Inc., after selling his award-winning fine dining restaurant, banquet and conference business seventeen years ago, Joe has enjoyed redirecting his marketing skills and talents here on Sanibel and Captiva. Joe contributes his entrepreneurial spirit to several local charities and organizations, including Golisano Children’s Hospital through Sanibel Captiva Cares and the Sanibel Captiva Kiwanis Club. Sanibel City Council recently appointed him as their representative to Lee County’s Metropolitan Planning Organization Citizen Advisory Board, and as a member of the Captiva Island Yacht Club, Joe serves as a Flag Officer on the Board of Directors. A member of Sanibel Community Church, he believes community begins with serving his neighbors. Joe and his wife, Linda, reside on Sanibel, enjoying the sun, sand, and boating with their friends, children, and grandchildren.

Judy is a native Floridian growing up in the Orlando.  She attended the University of Florida, majoring in Journalism and Communications. After graduation, she worked in graphic design and marketing. At UF she met my husband Richard and has called Southwest Florida home since 1997. In 1998 we had boy/girl twins, that are now seniors at University of Florida. Throughout the years raising  twins, she also co-founded the Mother’s of Multiples club in Fort Myers. She managed family owned vacation and commercial properties here and on the east coast of Florida. She has designed and maintained VRBO rentals. Furthermore, she oversaw property maintenance, improvements, purchased, sold and been involved with several 1031 tax deferred exchanges. Her hobbies are spending time with my family, including her golden retriever Ally. She enjoys traveling which includes snow skiing, fishing, boating and bicycling. “I feel very lucky to live in paradise and to be able to share this with others.”
