The Sanctuary Golf Course is recognized by the Audubon Society as a Cooperative Course and is the only private course on Sanibel Island. This Arthur Hills designed course plays 6,657 yards, par 72. Arthur Hills, who describes the course as “my island masterpiece” and the property as “elegant, exquisite, and rare.” The clubhouse features both casual and fine dining. Community amenities include full-service clubhouse, tennis, pool and fitness center.

Bordering the world-renowned J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, the course weaves and winds for 6,657 yards around nature preserves and lakes, providing panoramic views of the Pine Island Sound and mangrove forests. Golfers often encounter the wide variety of birds and wildlife that call The Sanctuary home.  

Island Lifestyle: The Sanctuary include single-family homes, detached villas, and low-rise condos. Single-family homes at the Sanctuary are deed restricted to a minimum of 2,500 SF on over-sized lots. Club membership is not a requirement for home ownership at the Sanctuary.
