What are you doing tomorrow to celebrate the 4th of July? There’s so much to do on the island. Here are some places where you might spot our Sanibel realtors.
Saturday July 4
- 7-9am: Stop by Sanibel Community Church before the parade for a complimentary all-you-can-eat breakfast and free parking. SCC will also have shaded seating, with chairs provided, to provide an optimal parade watching experience.
- 9:30am: The Annual Sanibel-Captiva Independence Day Parade. This year’s theme is “For The Fun Of It!” The parade will travel from Island Inn Road at Tarpon Bay Road down Periwinkle Way to Casa Ybel Road. The parade is family-friendly and this year will feature 70-80 floats.
- 11-11:30am: Family Craft & Story-time at J.N. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge Education Center.
- Starting at noon: The 36th Annual “Road Rally” Island Scavenger Hunt, starting at the Timbers. This is a scavenger hunt by car that is both family and tourist oriented. Everyone can join in on the fun.
- Starting at dusk: Sanibel’s annual fireworks display. Fireworks are set off bayside at Bailey Road, and some of the best viewing points are by boat or on the causeway.
That’s not all, there’s more going on throughout the day on both Sanibel and Captiva Islands, read more here. And of course, there’s always Sanibel Island real estate, which happens to be our favorite activity everyday on our islands.
