This Thanksgiving is going to be a beautiful one–with daytime temperatures in the 70’s and “cooling” at night into the high 60’s.
Whether you’re spending the holiday at home or visiting the island for the holidays, Florida is the perfect environment for an outdoor Thanksgiving meal. If you’d like to skip the cooking, there are plenty of fabulous dining options on the island. Call ahead to see if the your restaurant of choice is serving dinner and accepting reservations.
One family decided to spend their Thanksgiving outside on their porch. With a waterside view, it provided a beautiful backdrop to a pleasant table decor and delicious food.
If you prefer to have your meal indoors, there are plenty of opportunities to get some fresh air, sunshine, and cool breezes later on. Take a break from preparations and visit the beach, go for a bike ride, or participate in the local Turkey Trot Thanksgiving Run (or walk!).
This year’s Turkey Trot will be held nearby, off-island, at the Cape Coral Wellness Center, 609 SE 13th Court. The 5k starts at 7:30 am, followed by a one-mile fun run at 8:45 am and a 100-yard Tot Trot at 9:15 am.
