As we know, the national and Sanibel real estate markets are always evolving. There are regular seasonal trends, and there are grand sweeping changes.
Since the market has been on the up-and-up consecutively over the past year or so, some realtors feel the normal summer slow down a little more keenly.
News-press.com recently released an article highlighting the creative ways that realtors in Southwest Florida are engaging with buyers and sellers.
Naples based John R Wood Properties just launched “SWFL Real Estate TV.” It’s an ongoing video series featuring current news related to Naples real estate. They’re also hosting classes for agents to learn how to better utilize social media, branding, and blogging to engage with clients locally and those who’ve gone north for the summer months.
Other local agents are thinking outside the box when it comes to open houses. Some are providing more family-friendly opportunities for buyers, like giving away goodies to children who tag along with their parents. One group of realtors facilitated a “family fun day,” having a number of open houses at the same time in one neighborhood. One realtor said:
“So much of the experience of selling nowadays is creating an environment where buyers can imagine themselves in the home … we wanted to create an environment where kids could do that too.”
There’s fun for adults in real estate sales too. Some realtors host extravagant, private dinner parties. Open houses might have live music, wine, and barbecue, and giveaways might include expensive gadgets, like iPads or Apple watches. All-in-all, Southwest Florida realtors are shifting their approach to make real estate more accessible and fun for all parties involved.
Introducing entertainment in the buying and selling process does make it feel fresh and lively, but it doesn’t change the nuts and bolts of real estate. Amidst the market’s shifts and trends, if the price is right, a house will sell.
