Tech companies and startups have a new home: Southwest Florida.
Recently launched in Downtown Fort Myers, The RocketLounge is a co-working space geared towards individuals in the technology industry. The 24-7 work space will also serve as a hub for entrepreneurial educational events and provide a place for inventors, innovators, and investors to meet, collaborate, and thrive.
Co-founders Dieter Kondek, Peter Ocsody, and Joerg Sahlmann very intentionally decided to bring their vision to life in Downtown Fort Myers. And why not? The economy is good, the weather is fine, and the cost of living is reasonable. Considering these incentives, Kondek invites young entrepreneurs to join the movement and make SWFL their home.
“If you can start a technology company in this environment –– [with] the weather, the low taxes, business-friendly environment, all these nice people … that’s paradise. You can work hard 24/7 and [on] the weekend go boating.”
Dieter Kondek, CEO of The RocketLounge

The burgeoning presence of the technology industry in Southwest Florida provides great economic opportunity as a growing community of tech startups makes way for an alternative and rich job market. The RocketLounge might just be the beginning.
