Sunshine, palm trees, the warm breeze – there’s no place like Florida. While Sanibel Island real estate is thriving, real estate across the state is flourishing as well.

The Wall Street Journal reported the news today, just a hop skip and a jump across the state, over on the east coast of Florida, pop singer Jason Derulo’s home hit the market. A Florida native himself with relatives in the state, he’s opting for a condo instead, which is easier to maintain.
It is easy to understand why he doesn’t want to say sayōnara to Florida for good. As many vacationers can vouch, it is hard to leave this state for good, especially Southeast or Southwest Florida. The rays of sunshine reach out to you wherever you are and beckon you back.
I can’t speak for Jason Derulo, but having grown up in Florida myself, I can say there are many things Florida residents get to enjoy. As a kid on Sanibel Island I enjoyed “splashing in the bay and gulf, eating fresh grouper, boating through turquoise waters in the sunshine, riding through protected, tree canopied bike paths” and more.
