In a trial full of twists and turns, this riveting courtroom drama explores the issues of class, religion, race and gender. With the audience as the jury you will decide the final verdict. Written by Todd Logan, the play leads the audience through a journey of complex issues and emotions as tensions are slowly escalated and the characters’ defenses are increasingly stripped bare. Feb 23 Sanibel Island Farmer’s Market | ||||||
The Sanibel Island Farmers Market begins Sunday, November 3 at Sanibel City Hall, 800 Dunlop Road (Between the Library and BIG ARTS). The market will reoccur each Sunday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. through April 29th, 2014. . Market organizers Jean Baer and Betsy Ventura are happy to report that they have 30+ vendors participating this year. The expanded list of participants include baked goods, live plants, honey, pasta, cheese, sausages, fresh fish, fresh produce, organic veggies and many other good things that make a trip to the Sanibel Island Farmer’s Market a delight. Jean and Betsy have worked hand in hand with the city to insure the Farmers Market remains true to its intent and offers high quality specialized items and caters to the needs of the community.. |

Feb 23 Songs on Sanibel: VOICES OF NAPLES | ||||||||
The Voices, the small vocal ensemble of the auditioned chorale VOICES OF NAPLES, will be presenting “Bach to Broadway”. Conducted by Dr. Douglas Renfroe, the program will feature soprano Lesley Frost. Lauren Dillard will play Flute, Dan Sweeny will be featured on Double Bass and trumpets Mary Bowden and Christ Neron will also play on several compositions. The afternoon will feature a musical perspective of music from Bach’s magnificent Crucifixus from his Mass in B-minor to Handel’s glorious Let Their Celestial Concerts All Unite moving into selections by Verdi and Gershwin. The concert will also include several familiar arrangements of well-loved contemporary Broadway productions. | ||||||||
