Overall Sanibel real estate market conditions are good. Not quite the pace of previous year, but steady and resilient. It’s been a year of streaks. A neighborhood or condo will get hot, and sales will fill the sheets. Other properties just sit. It’s like the fishermen, good ones are always searching for the bite. Experienced real estate agents keep an eye out for the customers they serve. It’s about being at the right place.

What a difference a year makes. New water policy from Lake Okeechobee has our waters clear and many to thank. This should help. With Naples, Bonita, Fort Myers, and the Cape about the same as last year…Ft. Myers Beach and Sanibel real estate are still off this year…both may catch up. Last year about this time, islands sales started to fall because of environmental issues. This year sales pace has not been hampered by any issues. That will help improve sales over last year.
